Steel Jib Cranes and Aluminum Jib Cranes

Demountable Aluminum Jib Crane

Lightweight, portable, and ready for immediate use: our aluminum jib crane is the ideal solution for rapid lifting in construction sites, plants, and hard-to-reach environments.

Made entirely of aluminum, it weighs only 24 kg (excluding the hoist) and can be assembled by a single operator in complete safety.

Composed of three main elements, it is designed to ensure maximum efficiency with minimal footprint.

Perfect for use near the sea, in temporary installations, or where the installation of fixed structures is not possible.

Thanks to its modular system, the same crane can be used with different bases and customized configurations, always maintaining its reliability and safety characteristics.

The intelligent choice for those seeking responsiveness, mobility and versatility in a single certified lifting solution.

Jib Crane with Palletized Base

When anchoring to the floor is not possible or there’s a need to move the crane between multiple workstations, the ideal solution is a jib crane with a palletized base.

This configuration allows for flexible mobility without sacrificing stability and safety. Two types of counterweights are available:

  • Concrete-fillable base, more economical but bulky
  • Compact steel counterweight, more maneuverable but at a higher cost

Thanks to the palletized base, the crane can be moved by forklifts or equipped with wheels and stabilizers for relocation within the production site.

An external counterweight ensures stability, although it results in a larger footprint and a more restricted reach compared to fixed solutions.

This type of jib crane is recommended in specific cases, such as:

  • Presence of underfloor heating systems
  • Need to relocate the crane to different positions (not for frequent movements)
  • Prohibition of drilling or excavation in the floor

A technical solution designed to solve specific needs with intelligent adaptability.

Jib Crane with 360° Manual or Electric Rotation

To ensure maximum coverage of the operational area, we offer jib cranes with continuous 360° rotation, ideal for environments where freedom of movement is essential.

Installation involves a dedicated steel pillar onto which the rotating arm is fitted. Rotation can be:

  • Manual, with a cantilever beam arm and push trolley
  • Electric, with a motorized slewing ring, and manual or electric trolley

The motorized version allows for smooth and precise handling even with high loads, up to 30,000 kg, compared to the 2,000 kg manageable with manual rotation.

For specific requirements, the rotation can be limited to a defined angle of action, while still maintaining high performance.

A robust and versatile solution, designed for those who require maximum operational flexibility, even in complex logistical conditions.

Unlimited Slewing/Rotation

The trestlesard rotation of the jib arm reaches 270°, but can be extended up to 300° upon request. For applications requiring maximum coverage, we also offer pillar-mounted models with full 360° rotation.

The arm movement is smooth and precise, thanks to the pivot mounted on ball bearings, which ensures easy movement and long-term durability. Travel can be limited using mechanical limit stop brackets, based on the operational environment requirements.

Jib cranes are available with both manual and motorized rotation. The motorized version is equipped with a gearmotor and, upon request, an inverter for optimal control during starts and stops, ensuring user comfort and enhanced safety.

The channel profile models are an exception, as they are only available with manual rotation.

Finish and Protection

All our jib cranes are treated with an anti-rust primer and a double layer of enamel paint to ensure long durability. For outdoor installations, we apply a special “marine climate” anti-corrosion treatment, designed to resist the most aggressive atmospheric agents. For additional protection of the electric chain or wire rope hoist, we manufacture custom protective canopies upon request to shelter it during inactivity.

Available Types

Jib Crane Mounting:

  • Pillar-mounted
  • Wall-mounted (on pillar or wall)
  • With palletized base, movable by forklift

Jib Arm Types:

  • Channel profile arm
  • Articulated arm
  • Extendable / Telescopic arm
  • Tie-rod supported beam arm
  • Cantilever beam arm
  • 360° rotation arm

Pillar Jib Crane Mounting

The pillar-mounted version includes the design of both the arm and the vertical support. The most common anchoring options are:

  • Concrete plinth with foundation frame: requires excavation and casting.
  • Base plate with chemical anchors: does not require excavation, but involves drilling for direct anchoring.
  • Palletized base: metal structure filled with concrete, movable by forklift or equipped with wheels for mobile use.

Wall-Mounted Jib Crane Mounting

When a pillar is not required, the wall-mounted version is chosen, installed on an existing pillar. The mounting methods are:

  • With brackets and counter-brackets (a “clamping” system) to embrace the column: ideal for reinforced concrete, steel, or load-bearing walls.
  • With chemical anchors: suitable for solid reinforced concrete.

We also design special configurations:

  • Cranes with opposing arms on the same pillar
  • Custom fixings for columns with protrusions or irregularities
  • Corner installations
  • Customized brackets for round columns

Jib Arm Types for Jib Cranes

Channel Profile Jib Crane
It is the simplest, lightest, and most economical model. The hoist trolley runs inside the channel profile, ensuring smooth and precise movements. Available in both pillar-mounted and wall-mounted versions for fixing onto a reinforced concrete pillar or wall. The traverse motion is exclusively manual, with a trestlesard maximum capacity of 1,000 kg. All channel profile arms require the use of an upper tie-rod for support.

Jib Crane with Tie-Rod Supported Beam
More robust and higher-performing, this version uses a solid beam on which the trolley runs, available in manual or electric versions. It is designed to ensure greater capacities (up to 2,000 kg) and support the installation of motorized trolleys. The beam can be tie-rod supported for greater rigidity or cantilevered to maximize the hook travel and make the best use of the available height. The arm can be motorized, also with an inverter for smooth and controlled rotation. The gearmotor can be mounted either above or below the rotation pivot.

Articulated Jib Crane (Pillar-Mounted or Wall-Mounted)
Designed to operate in areas with obstacles or bulky machinery. It is composed of two arms: one fixed to the pillar or wall support, the other articulated at the end of the first. Both segments rotate on ball bearings, allowing the arm to maneuver around obstacles and reach otherwise inaccessible points. The hoist can travel along the second arm or be fixed at the tip. Upon request, pneumatic brakes can be installed on the first and second arms to limit movement. The first arm can also be motorized.

Jib Crane (Pillar-Mounted or Wall-Mounted)
Ideal for cramped spaces and environments with structural constraints. The arm is composed of two overlapping elements: the second can slide under the first, reducing the overall footprint and extending the working radius only when necessary. The travel of the second arm can be manual or electric, as can the movement of the hoist trolley. Rotation can also be managed manually or motorized, depending on operational requirements.

Jib Crane with Electric, Manual, or Pneumatic Chain Hoist

ATTOLLO lifting systems are designed to ensure maximum efficiency and safety. Every jib crane can be equipped with a chain hoist, available in electric, manual, or pneumatic versions, and complete with all required below-the-hook accessories.

The hoist travels along the arm via manual, electric, or pneumatic trolley motion, depending on the chosen model. The channel profile crane is the exception, which exclusively uses manual travel. It is possible to select solutions with one or two lifting speeds and, for greater precision, opt for inverter control which allows for smoother, safer, and more controlled movement, reducing load swing.

Chain containers (or “Chain bags”) are available in plastic, canvas, or steel, based on the operating environment. For specific applications, we supply chain hoists with a low-headroom frame to optimize the hook travel in confined spaces.

All systems can also be supplied in a special execution for ATEX classified environments, including installations with jib cranes or gantry cranes.
